MOUSE

How to recognize a mouse?

Mice are common in all regions of Canada. They are dark gray in color and measure 65 to 90 mm (4 1/2 to 6″) overall, with large ears and a long tail.

Do mice cause damage?

Yes. Mice can cause damage in homes, attics, restaurants, convenience stores and other locations.

Mode of reproduction

Mice are small mammals that have a very high reproductive capacity. As adults, they can weigh between 10 and 50 grams and measure up to 20 centimeters, including their tail. They grow quickly and reproduce easily, which allows them to quickly colonize places. Females reach sexual maturity earlier than males, meaning they can have up to 15 litters per year. This high reproductive capacity is one of the factors that makes mice so invasive and difficult to control. It is therefore important to take preventive measures to prevent their proliferation, such as keeping the house clean and tidy and sealing cracks and holes in walls and floors.
